July 4th is actually one of my favorite times of summer. I always have an idealistic idea (can I say that?) of how I want to spend this holiday, however it doesn't usually turn out the way I have pictured in my mind. My picture perfect idea is red, white & bluish complete with parade, BBQ, sparklers, all things American, friends, family, pool, fireworks,...pretty much what it looks like on the cover of magazines this time of year. HAHAHA!! Even though it our celebration usually fails in comparison to what I have worked up in my mind, we never seem to lack for having a blast wherever we are and what we are doing. This year was no different! We began our day with worshiping our Lord & King at "Hope in the Park!" Pastor Jeremy's sermonette was awesome (I will comment on in a different post.). We then hung out for a picnic with our church family, who we have gotten to love and appreciate just as much as our own family. It was truly an absolute blast!! The girls got their faces painted (once I get a picture I will post...remember, my camera is toast) and they looked perfectly festive!! After church and our picnic we went to my mother-in-law's. We caught the parade - YEAH!! - then went back to her house to prepare for our gathering and wait until the fireworks. Her and I made brownies from scratch and cupcakes in a cone! We ordered pizza and just hung out until the fireworks. Here are some pictures....
