Beulah Beach and the camping ministry at Beulah has played a major role in shaping me into who I am today. It is hard to put into words the calming nature of Beulah, whether you are involved in camp or just there for a visit. One week this summer the girls went to day camp so I was able to truly have the whole day to myself. One of my favorite Beulah activities is to read, whether it be in the cabin or sitting on the shoreline. What an incredibly relaxing week! The second week we were there the beach was hosting Bible Missionary Conference (aka campmeeting for those who might be more familiar with that term). The leaders bring in speakers and missionaries across the globe to preach, teach, and share the Word and what God is doing in the lives of people. You can't help but be touched by the Spirit! Because I have been going there since I was 5, I know many people or 'recognize' many people every year. It is like we are all family, whether we know each other more intimately or not, because we know we are part of God's family. It is such an amazing sense of community on a grander scale.
