We built our home with Wayne Homes in the fall of 2004 and moved in February 2005. I loved our kitchen when we picked everything out and moved in. Since then, however, I was beginning to feel a little less enchanted. So, exactly two weeks ago Scott and I got together, after not seeing each other for a year (boohoohoo!), with our dear friends from Newark, Mike & Pat! We have been friends for 10 years! Mike and Scott worked together at the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. Some of our favorite times spent with Mike and Pat have been sharing yummy food around one another's tables while enjoying a good game of euchre afterwards! We have also enjoyed visiting different restaurants at Easton and talking about decorating since Mike definitely has an "eye!" Since the time we met Mike had been attending Columbus School of Art & Design and graduated a year ago June! YEAH Mike! So during our visit two weeks ago I asked Mike what he would do with our kitchen cabinets. He had some ideas and I told him I would completely trust his ideas. Scott gave a go as the Chief Financial Officer of the Miller Estate! We made the plans for a work day in two weeks (which was yesterday). It's a go! Unfortunately, when I woke up yesterday morning my eye was disaster (will post about this later). Scott took the girls to grandma & grandpas and I waited, rather impatiently, for my eye to cooperate. As soon as I was feeling better I headed out to meet Mike & Pat at Home Depot to get the paint he had picked out. I was instantly in love with his vision! FINALLY, here are some pictures...

This is before the redo but I had taken the cabinet doors off.
I couldn't find a picture of the kitchen real quick in it's prior state; however, I am pretty sure there are multiple pictures on this blog where you can tell what it was like.
Pre-fab oak cabinets...
We have a few more things we are going to do...
