I had a very productive day and I was feeling pretty good about it! Anna and I baked a cake and then iced and sprinkled it. Unloaded the dishwasher (one of my most unfavorite chores), dinner (which includes making, enjoying, and clean-up), load of laundry, wrote 4 IEPS, painted/stained 10 boards on the deck (inch by inch, it's a cinch), more dishes, baths, Kinder Open House (remembered all the supplies and teacher goodies), and a trip to the library. Can you tell I am highly motivated by reviewing my list of accomplishments at the end of the day? Anyhow, I sat down on the couch to enjoy my cake and ice cream and Kate says, "Mom, can you start the movie? I really deserve to sit here because I worked hard today. You stayed at home, laid on the couch and watched TV." Really? Really? Seriously? Anyhow, because I love her and after I haggled her a bit for her comment, I got off the couch and started "The Wizard of Oz." I LOVE my girls beyond belief and LOVE the moments they share via their comments their perspective and perception of life.
