I DID IT!

This week I resigned from my school to be a stay-at-home mother. Today was my last day. I delivered my laptop, Blackberry, wireless card, printer, and other 'stuff' to the powers that be and feel like I have been ridded of the dark cloud that hung over my family for far too long. My girls smiled today, squealed with glee, and made it known in many ways the happiness that was filling up in their hearts. Kate wrote me a note that said,

"Happy Day

Is today your last day

It is :)!"

Thank you Lord for your patience with my stubborness. Be with us as we learn what it means to truly trust in You to supply our every need.

Family, Love, Joy & Peace

WOW!  What an incredible weekend, full of family, love, joy, and most of all peace!  My parents will be married 40 years on June 28.  Isn't that amazingly wonderful!?   Scott and I were married 2 days before their 30th anniversay 10 years ago.  What a sweet, sweet time...then and now!  My brother and sister-in-law came home from Wisconsin to join in the celebration.  The time together was priceless! 

A few funnies

Anna has had an upset tummy all day.  She self-diagnosed herself as possibly being allergic to Cash, a fly, or the TUMS that she likes to eat. 

Kate asked if she could make money.  When I told her she can't make real money she didn't think that was fair.

What Time Is It?

It is SUMMER!  When the girls and I got home last night we jumped on the trampoline for a bit and then I thought to myself, "What the heck, go for it!", so I asked the girls if they wanted to camp in the backyard.  Kate goes, "Are you for real?"  I said, "Yes!"  She said, "You mean outside.  A sleepout outside mom?"  I said, "Yep!"  Then there were squeals of glee and pure happiness!  I brought up the girls little tent from the basement and went searching for the big tent.  Scott had it tucked away on the top shelf of the garage.  It is a miracle I didn't kill myself getting it down.  The girls helped me set up the big tent.  Thankfully the rain from earlier in the week had softened the ground so Anna was able to drive in the stakes.  I then set to work on building a fire so we could roast marshmellows!  This was no small accomplishment for me but I was determined to create a memory!  Scott was a little freaked out when he got home since I had forgotten to leave him a note letting him know we were in the backyard.  However, he found us thanks to Cash (dog) and joined in on the fun.  It was such a delight to wake up this morning to huge smiles!

Options!

Options!  Regardless of the circumstances and situations that sometimes consume us, there are always options.  This past week I was specifically praying for the Lord to make it 100% clear what my next steps should be because I can't continue on this current path.  The Lord delivered in a mighty way!  There was no "waiting" as He wasted no time using His Word and those around me to send the message that something has to be done.  While I thought I was clear on the solution, I am now in the middle of weighing out all the options.  What is black and white is that change needed to occur.  What isn't so black and white is what it looks like. My solace comes in His words...

Lamentations 3:24
"My soul claims the Lord as my inheritance, therefore I will hope in Him."

Jeremiah 10:23-24
"I know O Lord that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps.  Correct me Lord..."

I Peter 5:7
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Philipians 4:6
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
