- Motherwise Bible Study: Freedom for Mothers by Denise Glenn...I really enjoy these studies and the homework. It isn't over the top but definitely deep. I also enjoy the fellowship of the ladies each week.
- Friends...God has smiled down on me with the incredible friendships that have developed in the last few years/months. My life is so much richer because of these precious women. On top of these precious women, I just recently got to talk with one of my very bestest friends ever who truly knows me and loves me. I miss her and hope to make a trip to CHI-CA-GO this summer????
- Family...My baby nephew Isaac got dedicated (of course have pictures that I can't get to load). Priceless time with my sister, BIL, and Isaac as we celebrated his life and the dedication of his life to the Lord. Have spent some great evenings on the farm, having dinner with my parents. Benny's Pizza in Marysville is also a family hotspot for gatherings with my "Fun" Aunt Kelie & Cousin Carmen (again, have pics) and now we go there from time to time with my parents. :) It pays to live close to the 'rents'. ;) We've also made a visit to see my 3 yr old nephew who broke his femur bone. Bless his little heart!
- Teacher Workshop...In case you didn't know, I have been teaching a course to a group of teachers. It certainly hasn't been the easiest thing I have ever done; however, it has been an incredible learning lesson on so many different levels. Maybe one day I will write about it but for now, I only have one more week and then I can draw my final conclusions. ;)
- Ministry...I have become more involved with the 4-5 year old ministry at church. This has involved meetings with Jennifer who has in turn become a very dear friend. I am thankful to the Lord for this privilege of serving in this capacity. I have also been able to help in some other small ways, behind the scenes, with the youth ministry. I don't say these for any type of recognition. It isn't about me what.so.ever. It is just I am enjoying being a part of this incredible journey.
- Subbing...I will be subbing more in Preschool and have a whole week in May already scheduled. YEAH!
- Balance, Starving the Appetite, Discontentment, What is the WISE thing to do?....I can't say enough about how much I have appreciated our Home of Hope studies (small group). We have used curriculum by Andy Stanley. So much of what he discusses, while some may not be challenged enough by his messages, are simple truths that can be applied to so many aspects of life. I like the idea of "Keep It Simple Silly!"
- The Girls...are doing fantastic in school. I have "things" that frustrate me about "school" but I have to let some things slide I guess. No situation is 100% perfect.
- Scott and I....UGH! It has been tough lately. He has been working a ton of Saturdays and actually, his first weekend off was Easter weekend. He has this weekend off and I am really looking forward to some time alone with him, on a date! I am praying for a unique and special time that is a combination of fun and spiritual connection. With all of that said, I have to say we are doing GREAT overall. I can tell the Lord has been really on both our hearts and it feels wonderful to be on the same page.
