Grass

I seriously LOVE mowing the yard.
Just me, the mower, and grass.
I sincerely get a thrill of seeing long grass get cut.
What is funny is that I could seriously be a grass snob.
Funny coming from the girl who didn't really realize dandelions were weeds.
I love how our grass looks like green velvet after it is cut.
I struggle though with the $$ spent on a well-cared for lawn.
Thus, I try to keep my snobbery at bay and realize it is just grass.

Tonight while I was mowing...
there is one section of our lawn that is always especially long.
If you must know, it is where our leach bed is.
Let me just say, we are a healthy family!
So, Scott wanted the girls to rake the clippings and place them into a trash bag.
To make this a little more appealing to the girls....
I taught them a fun activity I used to do with my siblings and cousins, growing up on the farm.
Take a peek for yourself...

We had a "sockball" fight with Daddy's socks so they could use their grass fort as protection.
We had a blast....

You are so funny! I've been begging ADam to teach me how to mow the lawn; it seems like good exercise and sun exposure!
